Description	One female student on the left ironing while three female students on the right do laundry using mechanical washing machines along the wall in kitchen area. According to the teacher Mrs. Grace Smith Bryan, donor of the photo, Fayetteville was the first in New York state to give high school credit for a home economics class, which at the time took place in the former Fayetteville Library building, on the second floor of 114 Genesee St., donated for village use by the Huntington Crouse family.
